Released in August 1966, Revolver was the bands final album before they announced their retirement from live performances. This decision to step away from live concerts therefore produced arguably the most innovative Beatles album. Recorded and produced whilst utilising ground-breaking technology and technique, Revolver introduced the world to the minds, interests and social views behind most popular band of the era.
