Original replica of the train station in Alsace, which can be used worldwide due to its construction. Large-volume building in sandstone construction with floor-to-ceiling entry and exit doors and a waiting room attached to the side. The colour nuances of the wall structure are faithfully implemented through an elaborate form of printing. The separately standing outbuilding in the same colour look serves as a sanitary building. The small station in Alsace-Lorraine, Volgelsheim, is today one of the last completely preserved stations in Alsace. Erected in the Prussian style, it shows typical features of the train station buildings of that time. The keep-like clock tower with four sloping ceilings is joined by two other buildings: a two-story reception building that housed the station master's apartment on the upper floor and a one-story outbuilding that was used as an office. The toilet house with the lamp storage room is spatially separated from this. Today the Volgelsheim train station houses various collections and interesting exhibitions on the subject of the "Alsatian Railway" and is the starting point for excursions with historical steam locomotives and wagons with open platforms.
