From 1941 the Waggonfabrik Uerdingen worked together with some other companies on how to make over 3700 lightweight tank cars. The two-axle carriages had a capacity of 30 m3. In the course of World War II, the wagons were exported to almost all European railway administrations and were as in Germany partially still used until the early 2000s.
