Still one of the most famous locomotives ever produced, The A4 Class named "Mallard" still holds the world speed record for steam traction which stands at 126mph. Mallard was produced in 1938 and was used as a express passenger locomotive on the LNER. Mallard is a resident of the National Railway Museum in York.
