In commemoration of Amtrak’s 50th Anniversary (celebrated on May 1st, 2021) Kato USA will release the 'Dash 8' Phase III and Phase VI versions of Amtrak’s 50th Anniversary P42 locomotives in HO Scale, coming next July, 2022. These locomotive’s coreless truck-motor drive paired with a super-heavy solid metal body mechanism increases the traction potential and weight for a new standard of running smoothness and pulling power.
