The latest kit from Ratio is out now, and what a super addition to the range it is! The GWR had a huge number of this style of signal box on its system, and despite rationalisation over the years there are still many to be seen today. Based on a medium sized box (as seen at Buckfastleigh on the South Devon Railway) this model will be perfect as it is for a country or branchline station or junction. Combined with another kit, and using some Wills Material Pack sheets, a larger box for a mainline station could be realistically achieved.
Features to look out for include the finely moulded window frames and steps, and the typical GWR-style slate roof, all faithfully reproduced in this kit. Moulded in the correct colours, painting is optional but most modellers would probably wish to do this.
