I will be building the N66406 Workshop kit, but constructing it as a café for the layout in our shop. Though this kit is not available from the manufacturer anymore, Noch do produce many other Laser Cut Building Kits in different scales.

Inside the box is a multitude of flat sheet parts, and free glue!

The contents laid out on a A4 Self-Heal Cutting Mat.

The main walls of the building in many of these kits are a single piece, after interior detail is added they just fold up and are glued together.

The window frames are removed from the sheet by carefully cutting the small bit of card connecting it to the sheet with a Soft Grip Craft Knife.

The door in the kit is just plain wood, but I wanted something a bit more interesting. So, I painted it dark blue with a Paintbrush.

I then drybrushed it with a lighter blue to bring out the wood detail, and went over the raised parts of the door with the same light blue.

The door and window frames are glued to the inside of the walls.

The clear plastic sheeting is cut up and glued over the windows to form the glazing.

The curtain sheets are added, as well as a suitable cake-filled window for the café.

The walls are then folded up and glued together. I tried to do all four walls at once which meant I was stuck for some time holding the walls together until the glue bonded! So, maybe it would have been best to do them one at a time.

The inner of the roof is carefully cut out.

It's then glued under the main roof part and held until bonded.

The roof is then glued to the walls. There is plastic guttering provided in the kit but I personally don't think it's a necessary detail for what I'm about to achieve.

I then made a suitable sign on the computer and then printed it out and affixed it to the front of the building.

I also added some of N14132 Virginia Creepers to the side of the building. You get more than what is in the image in the packet!

The "Right Lines Café" joins our shop layout next to the playground and football pitch.
