The 100ml Bottle of Ballast Bond Liquid Adhesive was released at the Warley Model Railway Show 2014. Produced by Deluxe Materials, it has been developed to be used when ballasting model railways or for other general modelling purposes. It spreads rapidly when applied and gives a clear matt finish to the ballast when dry.

Step 1

Brush on Ballast.

Spread the loose ballast over the track and brush into position.

Step 2

Drop Bond on Ballast.

Slowly apply the ballast Bond just above the ballast, applying it a drop at a time.

Step 3

Tacky Bond on Ballast.

After about 15-30 minutes the ballast bond will start to go off and go tacky. You should avoid touching or moving any ballasted sections until at least 24 hours after application to make sure that it is full dry.

Bond on Fleischmann Ballast.

Ballast Bond can be used with any brand of ballast. Here it had been used with Fleischmann ballast.

Glue Tip.

A Glue Tip is included to get a fine flow when ballasting smaller scales of track. Simply connect the nozzle to the top of the bottle and this will give you a lot more accuracy when dripping the glue.

Craig worked closely with Deluxe Materials to develop this product, so he knows what he's talking about!
