TRACY LYNCH looks at what's new from Faller on the second half of the year.
It's that time of year when Faller release their second new items update of the year! It's always an exciting time when we get to see what creative things they have come up with. There are three notable products that have stood out for me this time.
1. FA130880 – Drive In Cinema Kit IV - OO/HO Scale
With the current pandemic continuing, these open-air venues have sprung up all over the place.
The movie itself is provided by your own mobile phone streaming the film – genius! The surround of the screen can be adapted to fit most smart phones. Included in the kit are kiosks, signs and 50 driveway posts.

2. FA190074 – Village Funfair Kit Set (3) IV - OO/HO Scale
You and I probably know this as the Dodgems! Who doesn’t love dodgems, a must for every Fairground scene.
The kit comes with the dodgems unit, wagon and fencing. You’ll need the following motor and lighting items to build the full all singing, all dancing version.

FA180711 Strobe miniature lighting

FA190074 Village Funfair Kit Set (3) IV
3. FA191753 – Mini Golf Kit - OO/HO Scale
The possibilities with this kit are endless! How many crazy golf courses have you been to that have interesting, exciting and fun models around the actual hole; windmills, bridges and tunnels. This kit is the perfect base for lots of creativity from the model builder. The kit contains 18 holes and two kiosks.

A couple of other items that are worth a mention are:
FA130110 Asphalt Mixing Plant Kit. Great if you have an industrial layout in OO/HO Scale.
FA120571 Railway Arches with Interiors Kit
A style often seen in London, Manchester and along the seafront in Brighton. Rail can be laid on the top of the arches.
