Haynes International Motor Museum

Back in October I visited the Haynes International Motor Museum near Yeovil. I thought that I would share pictures of some of the cars in their vast collection.

This replica of a Ford GT40 looks just like the real thing. After their unsuccessful takeover bid of Ferrari, Ford took over Lola and created Ford Advanced Vehicles. The GT40 was completed in 1964.

This is the 1968 Pontiac Bonneville Ambulance. You may also recognise it as the basis of the Ghostbusters car!

Staying with the big screen, you will of course know the DMC 12 from Back to the Future.

This is the Lola T370, from the short-lived Embassy Hill F1 team, lead by Graham Hill from 1973 to 1975.

Two Williams F1 Cars now; Nigel Mansell's FW14 from 1991 and Damon Hill's FW18 from 1996 in which he won the championship.

And to finish off... two more Williams. The FW20 is Heinz-Harald Frentzen's car from 1998, and, much more up-to-date, we have the FW37 of Valtteri Bottas used during the 2015 championship.
