Over the weekend of 7th and 8th September, 2017, Gaugemaster attended The International N Gauge Show at the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre near Leamington Spa.

This is a regular event for Gaugemaster and kicks of the busy show season that runs through the Autumn and Winter. Matt Lovell, James Hickman, and I attended the show, and we had to battle the wind and the rain to setup the stand on the Friday!

The show was well attended over the course of the weekend, and this kept us very busy over both days. I would like to say thank you for all the nice comments about to Gaugemaster and our products that were passed onto us, and all those that visited our stand. We sold out of many of our N Scale special edition locomotives - the Class 73s from Dapol. We still have a few of the Class 66 Aggregate Industries left, but snap them up quickly because there's not many left!

During the show we got to see a prototype version of Dapol’s new Class 68 with sound. The sound quality was very impressive and we look forward to the release of this model.

Our stand also showcased the new Train-Tech Sensor Signal system, which replicate prototypical sequencing of signals automatically on DCC and analogue layouts with no heavy wiring. The signals themselves are designed for OO Scale layouts, but the main aim this weekend was to show off the train detection system that can be used for N Scale, which a lot of visitors showed interest in. Our demo board (which will be visiting other shows in the future) also showcased how the sensors could be used to activate a Level Crossing with Sound & Light, (which are available in N Scale! - Ed), and Train-Tech’s new Smart Light range of lighting units.

Gaugemaster will be attending TINGS again next year. Further shows this season that we will be at are the Great Electric Train Show at the start of October, the Warley Show at the NEC in November, and Model Rail Scotland in February 2018. You can find more details of shows that we are attending on our Events page.
