Description

Details

This is how classic fire services were created: WIKING received the inquiry back in the 1960s when the fire truck manufacturer Rosenbauer from Austria wanted to have its airfield fire engine miniaturized. The fact that WIKING boss Fritz Peltzer dictated his reply letter just eight days after receiving the request and presented Konrad Rosenbauer KG with a strategically appropriate model solution suggests that the offer was processed quickly but meticulously. Peltzers liked the airport fire fighting vehicle FLF-A 3000 on the chassis of the Mercedes Benz 322 - the model followed on the existing chassis of the Mercedes-Benz short-hood. WIKING is now submitting a version in beige desert sand paint from historical forms. Driver's cab, chassis and floor plate, fire monitor and rims beige. Copper brown interior, blue transparent warning light inserted. Floor plate with rear step rail, silver. Radiator grille printed in black and printed with a silver border and Mercedes-Benz star. Front headlights silver-plated by hand, turn signals applied in signal orange.

This model is produced in high quality plastic and will make an ideal addition to your 1:87 scale vehicle collection.
