The MB O 302 was a universal bus and available in many configurations. As a regular bus, intercity car or coach. The O 302 replaced the popular O 321 H when it was presented in 1965. The O 302 remained in the range for ten years until it was replaced by the O 303 in 1974. For the 1974 World Cup in the Federal Republic of Germany, Daimler-Benz provided each national team with an O 302 touring coach with the exterior painted in the respective national colours.
