Kato have announced four sets of 8-Car BethGon Coalporter wagons.
Since 1982, the BethGon Coalporters have been hauling coal across the United States. The best selling Coal Gondola in the world, the car’s double tub design increases hauling capacity while reducing maintenance requirements. Tubs below the cars lower the centre of gravity, providing a smoother ride.
These models feature removable coal loads which lets operators run full or empty between coal mines and terminals, shock absorber construction and low-flange metal wheels that provide smooth operation, close coupling between each wagon and detailed lettering for a prototypical feel. Available in 8 car sets, making it easy for modelers to assemble long unit trains.
