In 1979 BMW unveiled its new Group 5 car based on its M1 mid-engined road car. This is the Hawaiian Tropic sponsored car from Le Mans 1981, driven by Hobbs/Jordan/O’Rourke. The angle winder chassis features an adjustable separate motor mount, fitted with a 20.500 rpm motor. The model should appeal to both fans of Group 5 and Le Mans cars alike.
