Details

The Uranus - a vehicle legend among German fire services No fire brigade wanted to do without the Uranus - the thundering Deutz diesel brought the powerful giant to the scene as a rescue vehicle just in case. For decades, the crane trucks from Ulm shaped the vehicle fleet of the large professional fire brigades in Germany, since the eighties they have slowly become rare - discarded and discarded they disappeared. But the mighty Magirus Uranus crane trucks would not be what has always preceded them as a reputation for robustness and reliability, if they did not reappear at some point, so to speak for a second life. WIKING only presented the "KW 15", a similar version of which was also used by the Berlin fire brigade, in 1981. It was one of the last innovations, the model implementation of which was initiated by WIKING boss Fritz Peltzer himself. The WIKING friends and blue light collectors were just as enthusiastic then as they are today. Now WIKING has given the fire service specialist character-giving coarse tread tires, which make the model appear more authentic in terms of its overall look. Red cab, blue transparent warning lights, interior with black steering wheel. Structure with swivel base, crane arm with crane boom red, load hook, support rollers as well as air filter and searchlight black. Chassis with fenders and black rims. Radiator grille protection printed in red and the Magirus logo silvered on the black printed radiator grille. Silver-plated headlights. The side hood decoration and door handles are silver-plated. Crane arm with “Magirus Kran” lettering in white.
