Description

Snapfit Douglas DC-4 Swiss Air Lines HB-ILA Genieve(1:125)

HB-ILA was the first of a total of five DC-4s delivered to Swissair between 1946 and 1952. The long range of the four-engine Douglas aircraft allowed flights from Europe to North America, service to New York starting right after delivery of its first aircraft, named “Genève” on November 24, 1946. This Herpa Snap-Fit model sports the twin-stripe livery first introduced in 1950.

Model

1:125 Scale model of a Douglas DC-4 produced in finely detailed High Quality Plastic. This model features lots of expertly applied details as based on the prototype.

The plastic plug-in models from the SnapFit Range are quickly assembled from a few parts with a few hand movements and without glue. They are high-quality collector's models. They are elaborately printed, designed according to the original colours of the airlines and provided with many details. There are numerous types of aircraft to choose from.

Due to the plug-in design, their size and the good price-performance ratio, they are ideal as a starter model for younger collectors, but they also find many friends among model and aviation enthusiasts.
