The EF58 is a floral locomotive that remains in Japan's railway history. The front of the front two-sheet window with the nose muscle passing through the long smart "semi-streamline" car body caught the hearts of many fans. The 172 cars were manufactured in 1956 (1964 to 1958), and they were active in pulling many limited express trains such as the "Shallow" and the Blue Train, express trains, and luggage trains.
