JR Kiha 58 Powered Car

The Kiha 58 series express diesel railcar, which saw widespread use across the country since its introduction in 1961, supported railway transportation in Japan during the period of rapid economic growth. As electrification progressed, the train began to carry passengers on non-electrified sections of rural areas, and was in operation on non-electrified lines for a long time.
