Scalextric (or Slot Car racing to give it the correct term) is a system of plastic clip together track with 2 lanes per piece of track. Each lane is a groove containing two metal strips. Power is sent to your circuit from a power supply and is collected by the cars via a pair of conductive braids. The speed at which the cars travel is controlled by racers using a hand controller with a trigger.
