Details

1:500 scale model of a Boeing 757-200 decorated in "Ed Force One" Iron Maiden 2011 Tour livery details. This model aircraft is made of high quality diecast metal and is an ideal addition to your 1:500 Scale Model Aircraft Collection. This model is part of the Herpa Wings Collection and makes a great addition to your existing collection.

As the pioneers of the British heavy metal scene, Iron Maiden are the most successful band in their genre. The band, founded in 1975, is a global phenomenon with performances in 60 countries so far. For their last three world tours, the band and crew traveled with their equipment in specially designed aircraft. In allusion to her mascot Eddie called "Ed Force One", each aircraft adorned the design of the respective album and the accompanying world tour. The pilot was none other than the lead singer Bruce Dickinson himself, who also works as a pilot for the charter airline Astraeus. The two Boeing 757s that were used on the two tours in 2008 and 2011 also come from this. With their then new album "The Final Frontier" in their luggage, Iron Maiden set off on their next world tour in 2010 and delighted more than two million fans at 98 concerts, which were almost always sold out. For the tour, which lasted until 2011, a second Boeing 757 from Astraeus was converted for the band and provided with the title motif of the new album.
