Description
British HMS Belfast 1942 Royal Navy Cruiser (1:350 Scale)
HMS Belfast (C35) is a Town-class light cruiser of the Royal Navy, launched on 17 March 1938 and commissioned on 5 August 1939. During World War II, she participated in the Arctic convoys, the Battle of North Cape, and supported the Normandy landings. Post-war, she served in the Korean War and underwent modernization from 1956 to 1959. Decommissioned in 1963, efforts to preserve her led to her opening as a museum ship in London on 21 October 1971. Now moored on the River Thames near Tower Bridge, she is operated by the Imperial War Museum and remains a popular tourist attraction.
