British McDonnell Douglas Phantom II (1:48 Scale)

?The McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II is a tandem two-seat, twin-engine, all-weather, long-range supersonic jet interceptor and fighter-bomber developed by McDonnell Aircraft for the United States Navy. It entered service in 1961 and was later adopted by the United States Marine Corps and the United States Air Force. A total of 5,195 Phantoms were built from 1958 to 1981, making it the most-produced American supersonic military aircraft in history. The Phantom was used extensively during the Vietnam War, first as the principal air superiority fighter and later as a ground-attack and aerial reconnaissance aircraft. It remained a major part of U.S. military air power into the 1980s and was used for reconnaissance and suppression of enemy air defences missions during the 1991 Gulf War. The Phantom was retired from U.S. combat service in 1996 and has been used by several other countries. The aircraft was also used by both U.S. flight demonstration teams: the Air Force Thunderbirds and the Navy Blue Angels.
