Details
The JGA Bogie Hoppers were constructed in Slovakia during the mid-1990s for Buxton Lime Industries and Tilcon, designed to handle heavy bulk flows of lime products. Operating chiefly from Tunstead Quarry near Buxton, on the edge of the Peak District, these wagons became a familiar sight on flows across the UK. Featuring a large hopper body with three pairs of bottom discharge doors, they were purpose-built for efficient unloading. Rugged and reliable, the fleet has seen decades of service carrying lime for construction and industrial use. Although their numbers have reduced, some JGA wagons remain in traffic today.
