Mk2F RFB Anglia 1218 (DCC-Fitted)

The British Rail Mk2F RFB (Restaurant First Buffet) coach is part of the Mk2 series introduced between 1972 and 1975. Designed to provide first-class dining facilities, the RFB combined comfortable seating with a buffet area for refreshments. Built with a steel bodyshell and featuring improved safety and ride quality compared to earlier models, the Mk2F coaches included better suspension and sound insulation. The RFB was typically used on long-distance express services, offering passengers both dining and relaxation in a stylish, open-plan layout. This coach type represents an important evolution in British Rail’s catering and passenger comfort during the 1970s.
