The British Rail Mk2F BSO (Brake Standard Open) coach is a versatile member of the Mk2 series produced between 1972 and 1975. This coach combines standard-class open-plan seating with a guard’s compartment and brake van facilities, allowing for both passenger accommodation and operational functionality. Constructed with a steel body and improved safety features, the Mk2F BSO offered enhanced ride comfort and noise reduction compared to earlier models.
