The RG 1/144 Aile Strike Gundam (MK61613) is a snap-fit Real Grade model kit from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED. It represents the GAT-X105 Strike Gundam equipped with the Aile Striker pack, piloted by Kira Yamato, and is designed to combine high mechanical detail with compact 1/144 scale engineering.

This kit is part of Bandai’s Real Grade (RG) line, meaning it features a highly detailed internal frame system known as the Advanced MS Joint. The model is built with layered armour over a pre-assembled inner structure, giving it a high level of surface detail typically associated with Master Grade kits, but in a smaller scale.

The Aile Strike configuration focuses on mobility and aerial performance, with the backpack providing large thrusters and stabilisers for flight and atmospheric manoeuvring. The kit includes the standard Strike loadout: a beam rifle, shield, and two beam sabres, along with an adapter for use with action bases to support airborne poses.

Background

Within the Cosmic Era timeline of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, the GAT-X105 Strike Gundam is a prototype multi-purpose mobile suit developed by the Earth Alliance as part of the G Project.

The Strike is designed around a modular Striker Pack system, allowing it to switch between different combat roles. The Aile Striker configuration prioritises mobility, giving the mobile suit enhanced thrust and aerial capability compared with other loadouts such as Sword Strike or Launcher Strike.

After being captured and later used by the Archangel crew, the Strike Gundam becomes piloted by Kira Yamato, who uses its adaptability to respond to a wide range of battlefield conditions during the conflict between the Earth Alliance, ZAFT, and Orb.

The Aile Strike variant is one of the most recognisable configurations due to its balanced silhouette and signature red wing pack, symbolising speed and versatility within the SEED series.
