Launched in 1976, the Ford Cortina Mk4 marked a major styling shift for Britain’s best-selling family car, adopting a more angular design and improved interior space. The 2.0S sat at the sportier end of the range, aimed at drivers wanting performance without moving up to the luxury Ghia models. It was powered by Ford’s 1993cc Pinto four-cylinder engine, producing around 98 bhp and paired with a four-speed manual gearbox, with brisk performance for a late-1970s saloon.

The Cortina Mk4 2.0S was distinguished by its black exterior detailing, sporty striping, uprated suspension, Rostyle wheels and a rev counter inside the cabin.
