Details

The Roco 6600244 is a highly detailed H0 scale four-axle parcel mail wagon of type Z-5, operated by Wascosa and representing modern Era VI European rail logistics. This newly tooled model is based on the classic Swiss postal wagons originally built for the former PTT (now Swiss Post), combining historical prototype accuracy with contemporary private operator branding.

This model represents a vehicle from the first production series (built in 1988) and features authentic “La Poste” lettering in French, reflecting Switzerland’s multilingual railway operations. The wagon is constructed with a high level of detail, including free-standing grab rails, finely modelled pipework, and perforated walkway grids for maximum realism.

A key operational feature is the inclusion of switchable red tail lights on both ends, making it ideal for use as an end vehicle in freight or postal train formations. The model also includes current collection via axle bearings and comes factory-fitted with a digital decoder, ensuring smooth performance on modern H0 layouts.
