Details

The Roco 6600280 is a highly detailed H0 scale freight wagon set featuring two open goods wagons of type Eos, operated by the Deutsche Reichsbahn (DR). Representing Era IV operation, this model depicts distinctive East German freight traffic where converted rolling-roof wagons were adapted for continued service in open wagon form.

The wagons are based on former rolling roof wagon designs where the roof was removed during their service life, leaving behind the original structural fittings and mounting points. This results in a unique and historically accurate appearance, reflecting the DR practice of extending the service life of existing rolling stock through modification and reuse.

The set includes two prototypically detailed wagons with finely moulded steel side walls, realistic underframe construction, and authentic DR lettering.
