The SJ Rc4 is a class of Swedish electric locomotives introduced in the mid-1970s as part of the highly successful Rc family built by ASEA for Statens Järnvägar (SJ). Designed for mixed-traffic duties, the Rc4 combined high power with reliable electronics, allowing it to haul both fast passenger trains and heavy freight services across Sweden’s electrified main lines.
