The Ford Escort RS Cosworth, built from 1992 to 1996, was created with one purpose: to win in rallying. Although it carried the Escort name, it was mechanically based on the Sierra RS Cosworth 4x4, using a shortened version of the Sierra’s floorpan and drivetrain.
