The KUBO forwarding company from Breitscheid, Hesse, proudly celebrates over 100 years of history. Its story began intriguingly in 1918, just after the war, when founder Karl Kuhlmann offered overnight shelter to soldiers passing by on their journey home. These soldiers arrived with six heavy horses and trailers, though that evening two horses and a wagon were lost during their beer and card games—marking the company’s unusual “startup capital.”

Today, KUBO operates a modern fleet of 70 tractors and 200 trailers, all dispatched, driven, and maintained by a dedicated team of 120 employees. The latest addition to their fleet is the state-of-the-art DAF XG+, now available as a limited edition miniature model complete with a matching curtain-sided trailer.
