The Mercedes-Benz Actros is a heavy-duty commercial truck first introduced in 1996 as Mercedes-Benz’s flagship long-distance and heavy-haulage range, evolving through successive generations with advances in comfort, safety and drivetrain technology. The “M” designation refers to the third-generation Actros (MP3) launched around 2007–2008, which included innovations such as improved aerodynamics and, in some markets, automated transmissions as standard. When fitted with a Meiller AK12 skip loader body, the Actros M became a capable construction-site workhorse, lifting and transporting heavy waste and materials. Today this skip loader form is a favourite with enthusiasts and model collectors for its real-world utility and classic heavy-truck heritage.
