The Goldhofer FTV 300 is a specialised wind turbine blade transport system developed by German heavy-haulage specialist Goldhofer AG to meet the demands of the rapidly growing wind energy sector. First introduced in 2013, it was designed to carry long rotor blades safely and efficiently, using a hydraulic adaptor that can raise a blade up to 60 degrees and pivot it around its axis, helping to negotiate narrow bends and obstacles on challenging routes. The FTV 300 proved its capability on demanding operations such as hauling blades up to an active volcanic mountain road in Guatemala, highlighting its engineering flexibility and heavy-haul heritage.
