Description

Boeing 737 Max 10 N27751 (1:500)

This Herpa 538404 Boeing 737 Max 10 model is a highly detailed 1:500 scale die-cast replica, depicting aircraft registration N27751, one of the prototype aircraft used in the Max 10 flight test programme.

Finished in a clean white and blue Boeing house livery, the model reflects the aircraft’s role as a manufacturer-operated test platform rather than an airline-operated jet. With a wingspan of 72 mm, it offers a compact yet highly accurate display piece, ideal for collectors of modern jetliners and prototype aircraft.

As part of Herpa’s long-running Wings series, this release features sharp moulding and precise printed detailing, capturing the unique characteristics of the latest 737 variant.

For collectors focused on modern aviation, prototype aircraft, or Boeing developments, the 737 Max 10 offers something unique. Unlike standard airline liveries, this model represents an aircraft still in the testing and certification phase, making it especially relevant and historically significant.

Its combination of real-world development context, distinctive factory livery, and precise Herpa detailing makes it a standout addition to any 1:500 scale collection, particularly alongside other next-generation aircraft.

Historical Background

The Boeing 737 Max 10 is the largest variant of the 737 Max family, developed as a direct competitor to the Airbus A321neo. Measuring 43.8 metres in length, it is designed to carry up to 230 passengers in a single-class configuration, making it the highest-capacity 737 ever produced.

The Max programme has been one of the most closely scrutinised in aviation history. Following two high-profile accidents and subsequent grounding, Boeing implemented extensive changes across software systems, production processes, and corporate oversight before gradually returning the aircraft to service.

As of August 2025, more than 1,900 737 Max aircraft are in operation worldwide, demonstrating the programme’s recovery and continued importance to global airlines.

The Max 10 variant represents the final and most capable evolution of the series, developed in response to demand from major customers such as United Airlines, which plans to use the type as a replacement for older Boeing 757 aircraft. However, certification of the Max 10 is still pending and expected from 2026, with prototype aircraft like N27751 continuing intensive test flights to achieve approval.
