One of the most spectacular exhibits at the Technik Museum in Speyer am Rhein, which is not lacking in highlights anyway, is the original of this prototype of the Soviet Buran OK-GLI space transporter. In a hall dedicated to space travel, the 36-meter-long and approximately 80-ton space glider is located, which performed 25 atmospheric flights from 1984 to 1989. The test aircraft was powered by four jet engines at the tail, which allowed it to take off and land independently, unlike NASA  s similar-looking space shuttle. The 1:400 scale model of this legendary space transporter comes without landing gear with a display stand.
