Paribus-Northrail BR248 Vectron Dual Mode Locomotive VI

The youngest member of the Vectron family is the Vectron dual mode, which combines the advantages of a full diesel locomotive with those of electric locomotives. Thanks to the powerful diesel drive and the equipment for use of the catenary the locomotive is flexible to traction requirements at any time.

The Vectron dual mode makes an important contribution to a sustainable freight transport. Currently, the locomotives are used by MKB, Captrain, SETG and Northrail/Paribus. Db cargo has its own 146 dual mode Vectrons ordered to make transport more sustainable from 2023.
