The original "Bavarian Zugspitzbahn" AEG valley locomotive and 2 coaches.
The Bavarian Zugspitzbahn of the Bavarian Zugspitzbahn Bergbahn AG is one of the oldest mountain railways in Germany, along with the Wendelsteinbahn. The route leads from Garmisch Partenkirchen directly to the Zugspitze, the highest mountain in Germany. The route begins with the valley railway between Garmisch Partenkirchen and Grainau, from there the steep stretch to the Zugspitze turns into a cogwheel railway. The valley locomotives 1 and 4 as well as the 4-axle passenger car are currently still in use.
