This set represents the later-generation HEA hopper wagons, widely used across the UK rail network for high-volume coal and mineral transport during the British Rail Sectorisation era.

The HEA wagon was developed in the late 1980s as an evolution of the earlier HAA “MGR” design. While retaining the same high-capacity hopper system for rapid bottom discharge loading and unloading, the HEA introduced improved operational flexibility and braking performance. These wagons became a common sight in block coal trains serving power stations and heavy industrial sites across Britain.

Finished in classic Railfreight grey with red frame detailing, this triple pack is ideal for creating realistic long freight formations. Each wagon carries a unique running number, allowing for prototypical train consists and varied rakes on modern TT layouts.
