US HO4S-3/HAS.7/H19 Helicopter (1:72 Scale)

The Sikorsky H-19 Chickasaw, designated HO4S in U.S. Navy service, was a pioneering utility helicopter developed in the late 1940s. It featured a distinctive nose-mounted radial engine and a fully articulated main rotor, offering improved load-carrying capacity and stability. The HO4S-3 variant, introduced in the early 1950s, was equipped with a more powerful Wright R-1300-3 engine, enhancing its performance for air-sea rescue missions. The HO4S-3 was notably the first helicopter to be certified for transport duties, the first to fly across the Atlantic Ocean, and the first to be equipped with anti-submarine sonar and torpedoes.
