WWII Aces Italian Macchi MC.202 Folgore (1:72 Scale)

?The Macchi C.202 Folgore ("Thunderbolt") was an Italian WWII fighter aircraft developed by Macchi Aeronautica. Introduced in 1941, it was powered by the German Daimler-Benz DB 601Aa engine, produced under license by Alfa Romeo as the RA.1000 R.C.41-I Monsone. The C.202 featured a streamlined fuselage and was renowned for its agility and speed, making it a formidable dogfighter. However, its armament was limited to two 12.7mm Breda-SAFAT machine guns, which were considered underpowered compared to contemporaries. Despite this, the C.202 achieved a kill/loss ratio superior to that of the Bf 109 in North Africa during mid-1942. A total of 1,106 units were built, and it served until 1951.
