Bring one of Italy’s most distinctive World War II fighters to your collection with the Italeri Fiat CR.42 Falco Assault / Night Fighter (2842). This iconic biplane represents the final evolution of Fiat’s classic interwar fighter design, developed in the late 1930s and used extensively by the Regia Aeronautica during the early years of the Second World War. Renowned for its exceptional manoeuvrability and rugged construction, the CR.42 remained in frontline service far longer than most biplane fighters of its era.

The CR.42 was powered by a Fiat A.74 radial engine, giving it a top speed of around 400 km/h, and featured a strong mixed metal and fabric airframe. While its biplane configuration was increasingly outdated compared to modern monoplane fighters, it excelled in agility and low-speed handling, making it effective in interception, ground attack, and later night fighter roles with adapted equipment.
