Recreate a classic Italian Second World War light tank with a detailed plastic model kit of the Carro Armato L6/40. The prototype was completed in 1938, with series production beginning in 1939. Designed as a light reconnaissance tank, it was based on design principles from earlier L3 series vehicles but introduced a more capable and modernised platform for its time.

The L6/40 was powered by an SPA 18D 70 hp engine, giving it a maximum road speed of approximately 42 km/h. It was armed with a Breda 20 mm cannon supported by a machine gun, providing limited but practical firepower for reconnaissance and infantry support roles.

Although already considered obsolete at the time of its introduction, the L6/40 was widely used by Italian forces across multiple theatres of the Second World War, including North Africa, the Eastern Front in Russia, the Balkans, and Italy itself. After the 1943 armistice, many vehicles were captured by German forces and reused, or operated by the Italian Social Republic.
