Details

The Portram first entered service in 2006 with the opening of the Toyama Light Rail’s Port Line. Following the development of the Toyama Station Tram North–South Connection Project, operations were transferred to the Toyama Chiho Railway in 2020. With the launch of through-services between the Toyama Port Line and the Toyama Tramway, the Portram now runs across all city tram routes, becoming a symbol of Toyama’s efforts to revitalise its city centre through modern public transport.

For model collectors, this latest release features a newly upgraded power unit, ensuring smoother, more reliable running. Two fresh liveries — Orange and Yellow-Green — join the Portram fleet, expanding the collection to eight colours across eight trainsets.
