Prototype

The Series E5 Shinkansen is a high-speed electric multiple unit used on the Tohoku Shinkansen and Hokkaido Shinkansen services. These units have a top speed of 320km/h and are often seen in the full 10 car formation.

Model

This model of the E5 features lots of external livery details which replicate the prototype. This set includes the 3 car E5 powered unit with an intermediate coach and the two head and tail units. Additional Coaches can be purchased to create the full 10 car train.
