Details:

The legendary 1973 24 Hours of Le Mans featured one of Ferrari’s most iconic prototype race cars, the powerful Ferrari 312 PB car number 15. Entered by Ferrari SEFAC, the striking red Ferrari 312 PB Long Tail was driven by endurance racing stars Jacky Ickx and Brian Redman during Ferrari’s battle against the dominant Matra prototypes at Le Mans.

Powered by a 3.0-liter flat-12 engine derived from Ferrari Formula One technology, the Ferrari 312 PB combined exceptional speed, advanced aerodynamics, and lightweight engineering. Car number 15 qualified second on the grid and was one of Ferrari’s fastest entries during the race before retiring with engine failure, highlighting both the incredible performance and mechanical limits of 1970s endurance racing prototypes.

For slot car collectors and vintage endurance racing fans, the 1973 Ferrari 312 PB number 15 is an essential Le Mans classic. Its low-slung bodywork, iconic Ferrari racing red livery, and historic rivalry with Matra make it a standout addition to any slot car collection, classic Le Mans grid, or 1970s sports car racing display.
