Porsche returned to Le Mans in 1986 with the firm intention of regaining its position as leader in endurance racing. The white Porsche n ° 180 is one of the three cars entered by the German firm. This is the endurance version of the production Porsche 959; a monster in its proportions, but a jewel full of new technologies which test the physical and technical aptitudes of pilots. Despite a good seventh place in the general classification behind 6 other Porsches this model did not find its public.
