Details

The Märklin 44311 Freight Wagon Set is a detailed Era III Deutsche Bundesbahn (DB) goods train consisting of five Fd-z-72 Ommv (later El-u 061) centre unloading hopper wagons. This classic H0 scale set represents the typical coal transport wagons widely used in local freight service across Germany during the 1950s and 1960s.

The wagons are designed as self-unloading dump cars, enabling fast and efficient unloading of coal at smaller delivery points. Each wagon is fitted with a removable coal load and features realistic operational weathering to reflect heavy service use. Every wagon carries a different road number, enhancing prototypical variety within the set.

Built for reliable operation on modern H0 layouts, the wagons are equipped with close coupler heads (without guide mechanism) and finely detailed underframes.
