Details

The Märklin 46047 Coal Wagon Set is a detailed Era III Deutsche Bundesbahn (DB) freight consist featuring five short high-sided O11 / O Nürnberg type gondola wagons used for coal transport in the early 1950s. This H0 scale set represents typical industrial freight traffic of the post-war German railway system, making it ideal for heavy industry, mining, and power station themed layouts.

Each wagon is faithfully modelled in a reddish-brown DB freight livery and includes separately applied details such as brakeman’s platforms, with two wagons also fitted with additional brakeman’s cabs. The wagons are heavily weathered to reflect realistic in-service conditions, enhancing the authentic appearance of everyday coal transport operations.

The set includes real coal load inserts, giving each wagon a highly realistic appearance when operating or displayed. Designed for operational reliability, all wagons are equipped for smooth running on Märklin H0 track systems and are individually packaged within a protective outer box.
